What is university study like?
University study may be quite different from the teaching and learning you have experienced before. You are given a lot of autonomy, and have exciting opportunities to pursue your own lines of enquiry, especially at the advanced levels of your degree study.
Undergraduate programmes are the first qualifications at tertiary level, and offer the fundamentals of your chosen discipline. An undergraduate degree can lead directly to a career, or to further study in our wide range of graduate and postgraduate programmes.
Pathways to University provides information about foundation programmes and preparation courses if you need to gain an entry qualification or skills and confidence before starting to study at university.
How is my programme structured? Find out about the university year (including academic dates), how to choose courses and understand points, full-time and part-time study, and General Education.
